Caravans

Seasonal pitches for Touring Caravans

Our North Yorkshire site is a country estate of 27 acres with woodlands, pasture and seven acres of deep water, all privately owned and protected as a nature reserve. There are many species of wild birds and water fowl specific to the North Yorkshire region. Excellent coarse fishing is reserved for our visitors, one lake being solely for anglers. You may bring your own small boat, canoe or sailing dinghy and use it free of charge. We do not permit motor propelled craft unfortunately. For the landscape artist and photographer the park and surrounding countryside offer a wealth of subject matter just waiting to be captured. There is a delightful site for caravans of all sizes and electric points are available on all pitches. The park is a short distance from the village general stores and a little over a mile from the market town of Thirsk with delightful shops and Restaurants.

Please see our gallery.

Carlton Miniott Park is in the centre of beautiful North Yorkshire, close to the North York Moors National Park and only a short distance from the Yorkshire Dales. It is the countryside described so vividly in recent books and films. You will be enthralled by the little market towns and villages unspoiled by commercialism. The secluded valleys and streams and most of all the magnificent views from the high moorland roads. You will feel you are back to another century where people still have time to think and time to gaze. A drive over the North York Moors to the East are the little fishing villages and resorts of the North Yorkshire coast. Half an hour will take you to the ancient City of York with its historic past alongside excellent shops, theatres, cinemas, museums, including the Castle Museum and the famous Railway Museum. Other towns like Harrogate, Ripon, Helmsley, Richmond and many abbeys, castles and places of great historic interest are all within easy reach. Light Water Valley Theme Park is also only seven miles away providing an excellent family away day.

Awning:

Can be used only when the caravan is occupied and must be taken down before going home. No floor covering of any kind is allowed within the awning. All caravan owners will have the responsibility to maintain the grass within the area of their awning. Failure to do this will result in permission to use an awning being withdrawn from that particular site until the grass recovers.
